Bon Jovi announced Forever on March 14, 2024, introducing “Legendary” as the album’s first single and releasing its official video. The band’s 16th studio album arrived June 7, 2024, with 12 tracks. Here’s what was announced, what the original album contains, and how it differs from the later Forever (Legendary Edition).

Jon Bon Jovi described the writing and recording as “a return to joy,” and called the result “turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi.” These are his characterizations in the label announcement, rather than a description of how every listener will hear the album.
Is “Legendary” the first single from Forever?
Yes. The label presented “Legendary” as the new single setting the stage for the album, and it was the first track on the original 12-song sequence. The announcement links to official listening and video destinations; availability may depend on region and can change over time. See the announcement for those official links.

How is Forever different from Forever (Legendary Edition)?
The editions are distinct releases, not interchangeable names for the same album. The original is the 2024 studio album. The later Forever (Legendary Edition), released October 24, 2025, reimagines material with guest performers and adds new material. The official store listing includes “Red, White and Jersey”; its store-exclusive LP also lists “Fight Somebody.” Check the official Legendary Edition listing for the specific configuration and current availability.
| Edition | Release date | What it is | Added material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forever | June 7, 2024 | Original 12-track studio album | Original album sequence; standard LP listing |
| Forever (Legendary Edition) | October 24, 2025 | Reimagined release with guest performers | “Red, White and Jersey”; store-exclusive LP listing also includes “Fight Somebody” (official listing) |
What original Forever vinyl editions were listed?
Bon Jovi’s official store documented two physical configurations of the original album: a standard black-vinyl LP with a poster and a limited 2LP 45RPM gatefold edition. The product pages establish those formats, not whether they are currently in stock or available through another retailer.
