BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE World Tour made its first full-group concerts in nearly two years feel like a reunion and a new beginning at once. At the July 5–6, 2025 Goyang opener, familiar group hits met substantial solo showcases, while the world premiere of “JUMP” and stadium-scale production turned that contrast into the show’s central idea. Contemporary reviews praised its pace and spectacle; they also suggest that the festival-like format left less room for extended conversation.
What made DEADLINE a homecoming?
DEADLINE opened at Goyang Stadium on July 5 and 6, 2025, the first full-member BLACKPINK concert in about one year and ten months, following the BORN PINK touring cycle that ended in September 2023. The reunion was more than a return to shared choreography: the four members came back after developing distinct solo identities, and the show put those identities alongside the group’s catalog.
Jisoo described that intention at Goyang, in remarks reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on July 7, 2025: “When preparing for the concert, I’ve been really excited because of the fact that we will be presenting more diverse colors with this tour, with each member having a distinctive style.” The format made that promise visible, though its extensive solo sections also meant the group portions did not form an uninterrupted run.
The Korea Times reported approximately 78,000 fans across the two Goyang concerts in 2025. That is the outlet’s reported estimate, not an independently audited attendance total. Addressing the crowd, the group said, as reported by Pyo Kyung-min in The Korea Times on July 7, 2025: “It’s such an honor and a dream come true to reunite as a full group in a stadium like this,” they told the crowd. “It’s all possible because of BLINK (BLACKPINK’s official fandom). Thank you so much.”

What was the Goyang set like?
A hit-heavy opening
In Pyo Kyung-min’s July 6 review for The Korea Times, the members rose onto the stage by lift and launched into “Kill This Love” and “Pink Venom.” “How You Like That,” “Playing With Fire” and “Shut Down” followed. The opening established the group’s familiar force quickly, before the show shifted attention to each performer’s solo work.
Four distinct solo showcases
The Goyang review records these performances: Jisoo sang “earthquake” and “Your Love”; Lisa performed “New Woman” and “Rockstar”; Jennie performed “Mantra,” “with the IE (way up)” and “like JENNIE”; and Rosé performed “3am,” “toxic till the end” and “APT.” These were not brief interludes. They gave the show room to reflect careers that had moved forward individually since the group’s last touring cycle.

Lisa acknowledged the pressure of the return, telling the crowd, as reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on July 7, 2025: “I’ve been really nervous since yesterday — honestly, I still am.” That moment adds a human counterpoint to the show’s controlled scale: the members were reuniting as established solo artists, not simply resuming where the group had left off.
“JUMP” and the stadium spectacle
The world premiere of “JUMP” was the night’s major new group reveal, set amid catalog favorites rather than presented as a separate event. The Korea Times described lasers, synchronized fan light sticks, fireworks, dynamic LED visuals and a drone show. Those elements expanded the performance beyond the stage and made the reunion legible across a stadium-sized setting.

Did the scale come at the expense of intimacy?
Shin Ha-nee’s Korea JoongAng Daily account characterizes the concert as a two-hour, high-intensity experience resembling a festival headliner set, with relatively brief individual comments between performances. The trade-off is clear: the pace and production kept the event moving, but the Goyang format offered less space for long, conversational exchanges with the audience.
That balance is central to the tour’s appeal. The solo showcases celebrate how much each member’s artistic identity had grown, while the group hits deliver the renewed force of BLACKPINK together. At times, those two sides make the show feel like a sequence of distinct spotlights rather than one continuous group narrative. The scale helps bind them: a familiar chorus, a solo turn and a stadium-wide visual moment all belong to the same event.

Did every stop feel the same as Goyang?
No single opener review can stand in for every night. Ali Shutler’s Wembley review in The Standard describes a polished but playful show, emphasizing crowd interaction, a live band, fireworks and the members’ different solo styles. CNA’s Singapore review also notes prominent solo sections and real-time visual effects on the jumbotron. These accounts support a recurring framework—group hits, solo performances and large-scale production—while leaving room for differences in interaction and stop-specific moments.
The itinerary also grew beyond the first announcement. YG’s May 2025 announcement described 10 cities and 18 shows; later contemporary coverage from the Korea JoongAng Daily described the completed route as 31 shows across 16 cities. Those figures belong to different points in the planning and reporting timeline, rather than describing the same finalized count.

How did the tour conclude?
YG’s official schedule lists the opening Goyang dates as July 5–6, 2025, followed by stops in North America, Europe, Asia and Japan, and Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on January 24–26, 2026 as the final listed dates. DEADLINE is therefore a completed tour, not a current ticket opportunity. Its Goyang opening remains a useful lens on the run: a return to group performance built around both reunion and the members’ separate artistic growth.
