No—the 2026 T-Mobile free MLB.TV offer is no longer available. It opened on March 24, 2026, and the redemption window closed at 4:59 a.m. ET on March 31. T-Mobile’s benefits page now says the season’s redemption period is over. The original “returns today” wording referred to March 24, not today, August 18, 2026.
When the T-Mobile MLB.TV offer ran
The 2026 promotion ran from Tuesday, March 24, at 5:00 a.m. ET, through Tuesday, March 31, at 4:59 a.m. ET. Eligible customers had to save the benefit in the carrier app and complete the MLB.TV signup during that window; finding an old promotion page or tile now does not mean redemption is still open. T-Mobile’s promotion page confirms the redemption period has ended.
Who was eligible
The offer was for qualifying active monthly T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile voice-and-data lines. Each qualifying line could participate, but not every customer or plan qualified. The excluded categories included Kids’ Lines, government accounts, paygo or payday plans, select data-only plans, plans without data, and T-Mobile Connect. Customers also needed the applicable T-Life or myMetro app to access the offer.
What the free 2026 season included
For customers who redeemed in time, the benefit covered the 2026 regular season. It included out-of-market games live or on demand, in-market games on demand subject to restrictions, live audio for all teams, premium MLB app features, and archived programming such as classic games, documentaries, World Series films, news and highlights. The MLB.com login also provided access to Minor League Baseball content in the MiLB app. T-Mobile described home and away feeds as HD, but MLB notes that video on smartphones and tablets typically streams in SD. See MLB’s T-Mobile offer disclaimer for device and service qualifications.

Blackouts still applied
The promotion did not turn MLB.TV into a service for watching every game live from every location. MLB.TV is principally an out-of-market service: a viewer’s physical location, including an IP-based location check, can put a team inside its home television territory and block that team’s live game. A blackout can apply even when the game is not actually being shown on a local channel. National exclusivity restrictions may also apply, and blackout rules can change. Cellular data charges may apply.
Before choosing a paid package, check MLB’s subscription and local-options page for your ZIP code and team. Ask whether you need live video or whether on-demand video or audio will do, and whether the game is subject to a national restriction. If your location appears to be wrong, MLB directs customers with location and blackout issues to its customer service; that does not mean it can reinstate an expired T-Mobile promotion.

How activation worked during the promotion
These are the steps eligible customers needed to follow before the deadline. They are not a way to claim the expired 2026 offer now.
Android and web-oriented flow
- Install and open T-Life, or myMetro for Metro by T-Mobile, and sign in with the qualifying phone number.
- Open the MLB.TV tile. If needed, look under Benefits in T-Life or Tuesdays in myMetro.
- Tap Save, then Redeem.
- Follow the link to MLB.com, sign in to an existing MLB.com account or create one, and finish the signup.
- At the confirmation page, tap Watch Now.
iPhone and iPad flow
- Install the MLB app, version 18.0 or later, before beginning.
- In T-Life or myMetro, sign in, open the MLB.TV tile, then tap Save and Redeem.
- Open or update the MLB app when prompted, then tap Redeem Now.
- Confirm the free Apple Pay purchase, sign in to or create an MLB.com account, and tap Watch Now.
T-Mobile warned that Apple might require a payment method for the no-charge redemption and that in-app purchases needed to be enabled. That did not mean the promotional redemption itself should charge the card.

Why a customer may not have been able to redeem
- The attempt came after March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET.
- The line or plan was among the excluded categories, or the customer was signed into the wrong carrier account or phone number.
- The customer started at MLB.com instead of entering through T-Life or myMetro.
- On iPhone or iPad, the MLB app was missing, outdated, or unable to complete the Apple Pay confirmation.
- The customer was signed into a different MLB.com account than intended, or the account did not recognize the qualifying line.
The published offer terms do not establish a late-redemption period, manual code, or customer-service exception. Do not count on support restoring an expired benefit.
What fans can use instead
| Option | Displayed price on Aug. 18, 2026 | Best suited to | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| MLB.TV | $69.99 per season | Fans seeking out-of-market games live or on demand; the page also lists MLB Network, MiLB games, Big Inning and live audio. | Local and national blackouts still apply. |
| MLB+ | $59.99 annually | Audio-first fans, with live audio for all 30 teams, MLB Network, selected out-of-market MLB Network games, MiLB games, Big Inning and Gameday 3D. | It is not the full live video schedule. |
| Local team options | Not stated on the cited MLB subscription page; check the selected team’s current offer. | Fans focused on a club in its home television territory. | Availability varies by team and geography; it is not a broad multi-team substitute. |
Prices and package descriptions are those displayed on MLB’s subscription page on August 18, 2026, and may change. The T-Mobile page cites $149.99 as the regular full price used to describe the promotional value; that is not the price currently displayed by MLB for a season purchase.
Check renewal and account-sharing terms
MLB says paid seasonal subscriptions automatically renew around March 1 at the then-current regular full-season price unless canceled. Check the billing and subscription settings on the MLB account rather than assuming a promotion prevents future billing. The T-Mobile benefit terms prohibited account sharing and use on other carriers’ wireless devices; the benefit was not intended to be passed around through a shared login or redemption link. See MLB’s subscription terms and the T-Mobile offer disclaimer.
