PerthNow reported on 6 March 2024 that Irwin shared photos and videos from the stay, about three weeks before the couple’s anniversary on 25 March.

The couple marked the occasion at Crystalbrook Byron in Byron Bay. PerthNow described the resort as being set in tropical rainforest and reported that Irwin shared images and videos of the visit on Instagram. The account said the pair ate together and walked through the forest.
Irwin’s getaway caption, as reported by PerthNow, read: “Early anniversary celebration day with my love.” The stay was an early celebration, not a trip reported as taking place on the anniversary itself. PerthNow’s March 6, 2024 report covered the getaway.
When was their fourth wedding anniversary?

Why was the wedding ceremony small?
The couple’s wedding plans changed because of coronavirus restrictions. ABC News reported that they married without guests at the ceremony. Irwin described it as a “small ceremony” and said they wished friends and family could have attended. The same report quoted her saying: “There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now.”

For the anniversary, Irwin posted a throwback photograph and recalled that she was 17 and Powell was 19 when it was taken. 7NEWS reported that she wrote: “Falling in love with you was immediate. Loving you more every day is utterly effortless.” Powell also shared a wedding-day photograph and wrote: “Four years of marriage to the most wonderful, beautiful human❤️ I can’t wait to do more life with you. I love you”. These were messages reported from their social-media posts by 7NEWS.
