Blurton arranged the reunion with Rhiannon’s husband, Chris, and said a difficult period in her life and a conversation with her sister helped her decide to make the trip.
Who is Brooke Blurton’s sister?
Rhiannon is Brooke Blurton’s older sister, who lives in the UK. Blurton has said she learned she had an older sister when she was five. According to PerthNow’s 29 September 2025 report, the sisters and their father’s family kept in touch through Skype and FaceTime while Blurton was growing up.
Did Brooke Blurton meet her sister in London?
Yes. The London visit was the sisters’ first meeting in person. PerthNow reported that Blurton surprised Rhiannon at a London bistro, where they embraced as Rhiannon’s family watched. The sisters had spoken online, but neither had previously traveled to the other’s side of the world.
Blurton also wanted to meet Rhiannon’s children. She described the reunion as healing, writing, “I can’t tell you how much it has healed my younger self just seeing my big sister,” according to the report.

Why did Brooke Blurton fly to London?
In an interview published 7 October 2025, Blurton said a recent breakup and a conversation with Rhiannon helped prompt the trip. Rhiannon had told her she felt unable to support Blurton from so far away. Blurton said she went to therapy and came away resolved to visit: “I’m gonna go, I’m gonna see her.” She then contacted Chris privately to plan the surprise.
Blurton has also said she learned the identity of her birth father at 18 months old. PerthNow reported that her parents had never been in a relationship. Her account of the family’s history and the emotional meaning of the reunion comes from Blurton and the outlet’s reporting; a separate account from Rhiannon was not included in those reports.
