This guide covers fictional films, not a catalog of adult videos. There is no objective ranking: these picks are notable for how their three-person dynamics connect to character, story, tone, or cultural context.
How these film scenes stand out
The recommendations below are drawn from Samantha Allen’s personal selection for Them, published April 19, 2024. It is a useful starting point, not an exhaustive canon or a standardized database of scenes. The comparisons here focus on story relevance, whose perspective the scene centers, tone, and the performances and staging. The source provides film recommendations and brief descriptions, not a scene-by-scene inventory.

| Threesome (1994) | A dorm-room mix-up brings Eddy, Stuart, and Alex into the same situation, making the three-way dynamic central to the premise. | Comedy with romantic and dramatic elements; a story about the people sharing the dorm, rather than a standalone scene showcase. |
| My Own Private Idaho (1991) | Allen includes the film as part of her selection of movies featuring threesomes. | A character-driven dramatic film. The cited recommendation does not provide a standardized description of a particular scene. |
| Appropriate Behavior (2015) | Allen also names this film among her picks, offering another narrative-film context for a three-person encounter. | A contemporary comedy-drama; the cited recommendation does not establish a comprehensive scene breakdown. |
These are different kinds of recommendations, not interchangeable versions of the same scene. In Threesome, the triangle is built into the film’s setup. The other titles widen the selection beyond a single comic premise. Allen’s list does not claim to rank scenes by popularity or quality, and the available source does not establish precise scene timestamps or a complete list of films in this category. Read Allen’s selection at Them.
Threesome (1994): the clearest starting point
For viewers looking for a film where the three-person dynamic is explicit in the premise, Andrew Fleming’s Threesome is the most direct pick here. Sony describes its setup as a dorm-room mix-up involving Eddy, Stuart, and Alex. The studio identifies it as a 1994 comedy and rates it R. That setup gives the film room to play with attraction, awkwardness, and the shifting relationships among its three central characters; it is not simply a collection of isolated scenes.

Sony lists digital and DVD options on the film’s official page. Its DVD is the full feature, not a compilation of scenes. Check Sony’s official Threesome page for the listed formats and current options.

Streaming availability changes by territory and over time, so a recommendation is not a guarantee that a film is currently included with a particular subscription. JustWatch’s US page for Threesome reported streaming and purchase options after checking 374 services on September 29, 2026. Treat that as a dated US snapshot and recheck the listing for your country before watching. See the US JustWatch listing.

Tubi also has a listing for the 1994 film, but it returned “content unavailable” when checked. The listing alone does not establish that the movie is currently streamable there. Check Tubi’s movie listings.

Choosing a film for the kind of story you want
- For a premise centered on three people: Start with Threesome (1994), whose dorm-room mix-up sets up the central dynamic.
- For a broader film-history sampler: Use Allen’s Them list to explore My Own Private Idaho and Appropriate Behavior alongside other picks.
- For a particular mood or perspective: Read the film descriptions before choosing; the cited recommendations do not provide a consistent scene-level guide to tone, point of view, or exact content for every title.
