A May 20, 2025 report said Jordon Hudson had told at least one person that she and Bill Belichick were engaged to be married. The claim was attributed to a New York Times report, but neither Belichick nor Hudson had publicly announced an engagement in the coverage reviewed.
What did the engagement report say?
WRAL reported on May 20, 2025, that The New York Times, in a story by Katherine Rosman, had reported Hudson told at least one person she and Belichick were engaged. WRAL quoted the reported wording: “Hudson has told at least one person that she and Mr. Belichick are engaged to be married.” That is a description of what Hudson reportedly told someone, not a direct public announcement from either person. WRAL
WRAL said the Times report offered no further details and that neither Hudson nor Belichick commented to the newspaper. Pro Football Talk, NBC Sports’ coverage, likewise described the engagement as unconfirmed and noted there had been no public announcement “if it’s true.” NBC Sports
Are Belichick and Hudson publicly confirmed as engaged?
The reports reviewed do not establish a public confirmation. Sporting News also said there had been no public announcement in its May 20, 2025 coverage. That describes the status reported on that date; it does not establish whether the couple later confirmed or denied the claim. Sporting News

What is known about their relationship?
In April 2025, Belichick publicly referred to Hudson as his girlfriend and said they met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021. The Associated Press reported that statement in its coverage of the CBS interview controversy. It provides relationship context, but does not confirm an engagement. Associated Press
Does Belichick’s boat name confirm an engagement?
No. Sporting News mentioned the boat name as a source of speculation, but a name or rumor is circumstantial and does not verify an engagement. The evidence cited in the May 2025 coverage was the report about what Hudson had allegedly told at least one person.
