Beyoncé choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue reported that a rental vehicle was broken into in Atlanta in July 2025, with unreleased and watermarked music among the items they said were taken. Police later arrested a suspect, but the reports available here do not establish whether the items were recovered or what happened in court.
What was reportedly stolen?
Grant and Blue told police that their rental Jeep Wagoneer had been broken into around July 8, 2025, shortly before Beyoncé’s Atlanta dates on the Cowboy Carter tour. The Associated Press reported that the police report listed two Apple laptops and five thumb drives. The drives reportedly contained watermarked and unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future setlists. Other reported stolen items included personal belongings. AP’s account and Rolling Stone’s report describe the items as alleged losses reported to police, not independently confirmed contents.

How did the incident relate to the tour?
The reported break-in occurred shortly before Beyoncé’s Atlanta performances. The Guardian reported that it took place less than 48 hours before the first show, during the Cowboy Carter tour stop. The Guardian’s report places the timing in context; it does not establish that the alleged theft disrupted a performance or that the music was publicly released.
What is known about the arrest?
An arrest update identified Kelvin Evans as the suspect. According to AP, police booked him on charges of entering a vehicle with intent to commit theft and a parole violation. Those are reported charges, not a finding of guilt. The arrest report said the items had not been recovered at that time; it does not settle their later status or provide a final court outcome. AP’s arrest update is time-bounded and should not be read as a current recovery or case-status update.

Were the reported items recovered?
The reports cited here say police had not recovered the items as of the arrest update. They do not establish whether that changed afterward. They also do not establish a later court disposition or a subsequent statement from Beyoncé’s representatives, so those outcomes should not be assumed.

In a news release quoted by AP, Atlanta police offered a general reminder: “Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car.” AP also reported that Atlanta police recorded 7,195 thefts from vehicles in 2024. That figure is a historical count reported in July 2025, not a current annual total, and neither it nor the general reminder establishes any detail about the alleged break-in itself.
