Bella Hadid included Adan Banuelos in a February 16, 2024 birthday recap on her Instagram grid, making their relationship more visible to her followers. She had called him “My valentine💌💋” in an Instagram Story two days earlier. A separate April 8 birthday tribute celebrated Banuelos—not Hadid.
What Bella Hadid’s February birthday recap showed
Hadid’s February 16 grid post recapped her birthday and included a photo of her and Banuelos wearing similar cowboy hats, as well as a GIF of the pair leaning in for a kiss, Glamour reported. The post brought him onto her Instagram grid after her Valentine’s Day Story had already offered a public signal of their relationship.
Why the April birthday tribute is a different post
On April 8, Hadid marked Banuelos’s 35th birthday with Instagram Story slides. Harper’s Bazaar reported that they showed the couple at equestrian settings and rodeo events, including riding horses at night, alongside affectionate images. The first slide read, “Happy birthday my love…” (Harper’s Bazaar).

The equestrian context behind the imagery
Banuelos is a cutting horse competitor and trainer, Vogue reported. Cutting is a discipline in which a rider separates one cow from a herd. Hadid’s January 2024 Instagram content showed her competing on a horse named Tito. Vogue also quoted Banuelos discussing his vocation at the premiere of Horse Sense: “This has been a passion of mine since before I can remember. Without a doubt, there was never anything else that I was going to do.” (Vogue)
What the posts do—and do not—establish
The February recap made Banuelos part of Hadid’s public birthday post, following the Valentine’s Day Story. The April slides were a distinct tribute for his birthday. Neither post, by itself, establishes a private relationship start date. More recent public reporting has also conflicted: Glamour’s May 2026 timeline recounts an Entertainment Tonight source describing a January breakup, followed by a May TMZ source saying they had not actually split and had experienced “normal ups and downs.” That account does not settle their current status, so the posts are best understood as dated public milestones rather than confirmation of where the relationship stands now (Glamour).
