When and where did Sophie Delezio and Joseph Salerno marry?
The couple married at Anambah House in the Hunter Valley on April 12, 2025. PerthNow’s report, published the following day, described the ceremony as taking place on Saturday; a later Mamamia profile gives the specific date.
What did the couple and wedding party wear?
PerthNow described Delezio’s wedding dress as white, with a flowing train and a beaded bodice. Salerno wore a brown suit with brown boots. The report described four bridesmaids in champagne-coloured dresses and the groomsmen in cream suits with brown boots. These are reported visual details; the coverage does not identify the gown’s designer or price.
How did their relationship begin?
Delezio and Salerno’s relationship stretches back to childhood. A 2025 Mamamia retrospective says they first met at six on the same swim team, then reconnected as teenagers. In a 2023 Australian Women’s Weekly interview, the couple described meeting at school as Year 9 students and becoming close friends.

“We’ve been best friends since we were 14, so we’ve never had that awkward introductory phase of dating,” Delezio said in the 2023 interview. Salerno described her as “Strong, confident and generous, those three words best describe Sophie. That’s what I see when I’m with her.”
When did Salerno propose?
Salerno proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2023, according to The Australian Women’s Weekly. He prepared a romantic surprise at their apartment and commissioned Delezio’s engagement ring from Diamonds By You, choosing a three-stone trinity style.

How did becoming parents shape the wedding timeline?
A pre-wedding Mamamia report said parenthood delayed the couple’s plans. They welcomed their son, Frankie, in September 2024, before marrying the following year.
Before the wedding, Now To Love reported that the couple worked with Australian jeweller Larsen Jewellery to make custom wedding bands. In the 2023 interview, Delezio said the wedding was intended as “a celebration of our gratitude,” adding that they felt surrounded by love and support.
