Where and when were the 2024 BAFTAs?
The ceremony took place on 18 February 2024 at the Royal Festival Hall, part of London’s Southbank Centre. David Tennant hosted the awards, while Clara Amfo and Alex Zane presented the red carpet on BAFTA’s social channels, with Zainab Jiwa reporting live on TikTok. Details that distinguished the red carpet
Colour: peach, red and monochrome
British Vogue called peach a surprise colour, including in its description of Emma Stone’s one-shouldered Louis Vuitton gown. Dua Lipa’s Valentino look brought a vivid red cape, while classic monochrome outfits offered a more restrained counterpoint. These are editorial observations, not measured counts of the evening’s outfits.
Volume and surface
Silhouettes ranged from capes and trains to statement sleeves. Taylor Russell’s custom white Loewe dress paired hip cut-outs with feathered trim. Colman Domingo’s custom black Boss suit used a white shirt and bow tie.
