What happens in the celebrity opening?
The opening brings together Zac Efron, basketball player Jimmy Butler, country musician Morgan Wallen, and mixed martial artist Paddy Pimblett as they approach a confrontation. An explosive strike kills them, and the scene cuts to soldiers moving through the fight. PC Gamer reports that one asks, “Who was that?” and another replies, “Doesn’t matter, let’s move.” The coverage does not identify either speaker.

The joke is the speed of the reversal: the famous faces appear to be the focus, but they are dispatched before they can become the heroes of the scene. The unnamed squad’s indifference is the punchline.

PC Gamer described the spot as seeming to poke fun at a rival shooter and reported the Call of Duty comparison. The connection comes from the contrast between a celebrity-packed opening and the trailer’s quick return to ordinary soldiers—the sort of star cameos that have featured in Call of Duty’s live-action promotions.
