Baskin-Robbins’ Hello Kitty 50th-anniversary ice cream lineup was a Japan-only collaboration in 2024, not a current November menu. The campaign, titled “HELLO ICE CREAM!”, ran in two stages: November 1–20 and November 21–December 26. Its limited-time cups, sundaes, sets and cake were offered at participating Baskin-Robbins shops nationwide in Japan, according to Sanrio’s October 24, 2024 recap.
What was the Hello Kitty 50th-anniversary lineup?
B-R サーティワン アイスクリーム株式会社, the Japanese Baskin-Robbins operator, announced the collaboration with Sanrio for Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary. The releases divide the menu into two phases. Dates and prices below are historical 2024 details; the offers ended that year, and the operator noted that prices could differ at some stores.
| Phase | Dates | Featured items | Historical listed prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | November 1–20, 2024, or until supplies ran out | Hello Kitty Birthday Double Cup, apple-pie-inspired sundae and Birthday Set with blanket | Birthday Double Cup: ¥660 small double or ¥910 regular double |
| Second | November 21–December 26, 2024, or while supplies lasted | Sanrio Characters Double Cup, group sundae, eight-scoop Hello Ice Cream Set and Hello Kitty 50th Christmas ice cream cake | Sanrio Characters Double Cup: ¥510 small double or ¥760 regular double; group sundae: ¥800; Christmas cake: ¥4,000 |
The operator’s dated announcements give the first-phase lineup and second-phase details. Sanrio also recapped the second phase and its Japan-wide shop availability.
What came with the first-phase Birthday Double Cup?
The Hello Kitty Birthday Double Cup included two selected scoops, in either small or regular size, a red bow-shaped chocolate and a retro cup design inspired by Hello Kitty’s 1974 debut-era look. A small Hello Kitty charm with a ring and fitting was available with the cup while supplies lasted. The operator also described a double cup in two special designs, with a pink ribbon chocolate for an initial limited number of orders.
