Why were fans asked not to go to the discharge site?
BIGHIT MUSIC said there would be no special discharge event and asked fans not to visit the site, citing the possibility of overcrowding and safety problems. The agency’s October 14, 2024 notice stated: “No special events are planned on the day of j-hope’s discharge.” The official notice asked fans to celebrate from afar and follow the guidance of local authorities.
The agency had issued similar practical guidance before J-Hope’s enlistment in April 2023: it asked fans not to attend the entry ceremony, send letters or gifts to the training center, or purchase unauthorized tours and products using the artist’s intellectual property. It directed fans who wanted to share supportive messages to Weverse with #Dear_jhope_from_ARMY. BIGHIT MUSIC’s service notice said letters and gifts could be difficult to store or might be lost.
