The publication said 13 women described accounts dating from the 1990s through 2020. In a separate case, a federal judge entered a default judgment for Kristina Sarhadi in 2025 on assault and battery/sexual battery claims. The order says Geever did not answer the complaint or appear, so the judgment was not the result of a contested trial and does not decide the other women’s accounts.
What did the women allege?
Rolling Stone reported in September 2023 that 13 women accused Geever of predatory behavior and sexual misconduct. In later coverage, the magazine described the women’s accounts as spanning the 1990s through 2020 and involving locations in the United States and Europe. These are allegations attributed to the women and to the magazine’s reporting, not findings made in Sarhadi’s lawsuit.

The available reporting does not provide a sufficient basis to reconstruct each woman’s account individually. Accordingly, the allegations should be understood at the level the reporting establishes: a group of 13 women described alleged conduct over several decades.
How did former Anti-Flag members respond?
On September 7, 2023, Pitchfork reported that three former members of Anti-Flag released a statement after the Rolling Stone investigation. That establishes the statement’s existence and timing; its specific language should not be inferred from the report’s headline or summarized without consulting the statement itself.

What happened in Kristina Sarhadi’s lawsuit?
On July 22, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York entered default judgment in Sarhadi v. Geever. Chief U.S. District Judge Brenda K. Sannes wrote: “Defendant Geever has not answered the Complaint or otherwise appeared in this action.” The court awarded Sarhadi $1,170,800 in damages and $750,000 in punitive damages on assault and battery/sexual battery claims. It denied default judgment on her intentional-infliction-of-emotional-distress claim.
Because Geever did not answer or appear, this was a default judgment—not a verdict reached after a contested trial. It resolves Sarhadi’s claims in that civil action; it is not a court determination of every account described in the 2023 reporting.
