The City of Gosnells says its award-winning Fusion Food and Culture Festival will return in 2027, but its current major events listing does not give an exact date. The most recently reported festival took place at Mills Park in Beckenham on 7 and 8 November 2025; those dates have passed. Check the City of Gosnells major events page for confirmed 2027 details.
When is the next Fusion Food and Culture Festival?
The City of Gosnells’ major events page lists the festival as returning in 2027 with a new date, but no exact date was available in that listing. Do not rely on the 2025 schedule for the next event: the PerthNow announcement published on 2 November 2025 gave the dates as Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November, 4pm–9pm, at Mills Park, Brixton Street, Beckenham. That schedule is historical, not a confirmed 2027 program. See the City’s major events listing for updates.
What was the festival like in 2025?
PerthNow’s 2 November 2025 report described a family-oriented event combining performances, food, art and participatory activities. The reported program included:
- Multicultural performances and cultural displays
- Food from around the world, arts and crafts, and interactive cultural activities
- Activities for children and young people, roving entertainment and sideshow alley
- A sensory space and a multi-faith worship space
- Animatronic creatures in a Global Safari area and an installation by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre
These are features reported for the 2025 edition, not a confirmed program for 2027. The report also said the festival won the arts and culture category at the National Awards for Local Government earlier in 2025.

Was entry free, and how did visitors get there?
For the 2025 event, PerthNow quoted Mayor Terresa Lynes saying entry was free. The report said parking was limited and that free shuttles ran from Maddington Central and Beckenham train station between 4pm and 10pm on the two event days. These arrangements applied to the past event only; check the City’s listing for any 2027 admission, transport or parking information.
Why does Gosnells hold a festival celebrating world cultures?
PerthNow’s 2025 article reported that more than 43 per cent of City of Gosnells residents were born overseas, that residents came from more than 160 countries of origin, and that at least 155 languages were spoken in homes across the city. The article did not name an underlying dataset or reference year, so these figures should be understood as figures reported in that 2025 coverage, not as independently verified current statistics.
