Disney has confirmed a broad multiverse-crisis premise and a large crossover cast—not the specific events described in the alleged leak. Treat any scene-by-scene account as unverified unless Marvel or Disney confirms it.
Is the Avengers: Doomsday leak real?
There is no verified basis in the sources reviewed to call the circulating plot account authentic. A May 2026 article from 9to5Marvel describes one version of the leak and warns that it is not confirmed canon, pointing to contradictions and omissions. That establishes that claims are circulating; it does not establish that they came from a genuine script or accurately describe the finished film. 9to5Marvel’s summary of the circulating claims

Disney’s public statements and the reporting cited below do not authenticate those specific spoilers. Until an official source confirms a particular event, character fate or scene, it should be understood as rumor rather than plot fact.
What do the Avengers: Doomsday spoilers say?
Online accounts described as plot leaks offer purported story details, but the available evidence does not support repeating any particular event as a reliable account of the movie. The 9to5Marvel article is useful for seeing that one version has been published—and for noting its own cautions—not as independent verification. Claims that a leak is detailed, widely repeated or accompanied by supposed insider context do not by themselves authenticate it.

What Disney has officially revealed
A multiverse collision, not a published plot
Disney’s official US film page describes heroes from three universes being set on a collision course against an existential threat. This is the clearest public premise, but it does not confirm any specific scene or plot point in the online leak. Disney’s official US film page

In a September 29, 2026 report, The Walt Disney Company described comments from directors Joe and Anthony Russo about promotional footage. Joe Russo said the footage shows the TVA confronting timelines collapsing: “I think it’s one of the more significant events that’s ever happened in the MCU. This is sort of the end of times. The TVA’s sole job is to protect the timelines from collapsing, and now they’re all collapsing at once. In that footage alone, you see the end of thousands of universes in seconds. So, something catastrophic is happening.” He was discussing promotional footage, not certifying the online plot leak. The cause of the catastrophe remains a mystery in that account. A crossover ensemble
Public descriptions of the ensemble include the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Wakandans, Thunderbolts and X-Men. An Associated Press interview published September 2, 2026, describes the Avengers, Wakandans, New Avengers, Fantastic Four and original X-Men as part of the film’s expansive group of characters. Anthony Russo asked, “The MCU is this massive experiment in how vast, how much scope can an ensemble really have?” That speaks to the scale of the cast, not to the truth of any spoiler. How to judge new spoiler claims
For this film, keep three kinds of information separate:
- Official announcements: Disney or Marvel statements establish what the studio has publicly confirmed, such as the broad premise, promotional footage description and announced cast information.
- Attributed journalism: A report establishes what its named source or interviewee said. It does not automatically verify anonymous claims or a separate leak.
- Anonymous or unattributed leak posts: These remain unverified unless corroborated by credible evidence or confirmed by an official source. Repetition across accounts is not independent confirmation.
On that standard, the multiverse crisis and crossover are public information; the alleged scene-by-scene plot is not authenticated by the sources cited here.
