The large dollar figures attached to the family business are estimates—not audited accounts or verified payments to the boys—and no current earnings or audience figure is established by the available reporting.
What is CKN, and how big was it?
CKN is a child-oriented entertainment channel built around Calvin and Kaison playing with toys and games. PerthNow’s 7 August 2023 profile described videos featuring toy unboxing and play, surprise eggs, games and superhero costumes. It reported that the channel had launched in 2015 and, by the time of its article, had more than 12 billion views and 18.7 million subscribers. Those are figures reported in 2023, not a current channel count.
PerthNow also reported that the boys’ parents operated multiple channels. Its profile said the brothers had a content deal with Nickelodeon in 2019. Separately, AdNews reported that Nickelodeon Australia would produce a short-form preschool series with CKN Toys for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr platforms. That is historical trade reporting; it does not establish that the arrangement is still active. AdNews’ 2019 report was available in search results but could not be accessed when opened.
How much are Calvin and Kaison said to make?
PerthNow’s 2023 article relayed several striking money figures, but they describe estimates rather than independently confirmed CKN income:

- $32 million estimated net worth: PerthNow attributed this to an estimate of the brothers’ net worth as of 2020. It is a historical estimate, not a verified valuation or a disclosure of money owned by the children.
- More than $58,000 per video: The article said the brothers were reportedly able to earn over this amount per video. It did not provide verified payment records or establish that they received that sum for each video.
- Upwards of $50,000 a month in YouTube advertising: Stephanie Scicchitano, general manager of influencer marketing agency Born Bred Talent, told PerthNow that “a following like CKN has” could see a channel earn that much from YouTube ads. This was her estimate of potential ad revenue for a channel with that following, not a statement of CKN’s actual monthly income.
These amounts refer to different things—an estimated net worth, a reported possible per-video figure and an industry estimate of potential monthly advertising revenue. They should not be added together or treated as confirmed earnings. The reporting does not establish how revenue was divided between the channel’s business, parents and children.
PerthNow’s profile, published 7 August 2023, is the source for the audience and money figures. The available reporting provides no audited accounts, current verified earnings figure or current verified audience count.

What the kidfluencer story raises beyond the money
A channel featuring children can turn play and family life into public entertainment. That raises questions about how children participate, what personal details become visible, how unwanted attention is handled and who controls money earned through their work. Those are broader issues in child-created content, not allegations about Calvin and Kaison or claims that a particular harm occurred to them.
ABC Four Corners’ 2024 reporting documented concerns about consent, privacy, online safety and the management of earnings in the wider family-influencer space. Its examples involved other families. ABC’s 2024 coverage provides context for the questions, but does not establish how CKN handles them.

ABC Behind The News’ 2023 explainer also discussed child creators’ privacy, consent and earnings, along with historical legal protections for child performers. Social-media content and the law can vary by place and change over time; that explainer is not a guide to current legal requirements. It quoted social media researcher Dr Catherine Archer saying children’s everyday lives may be recorded and shared with large audiences. ABC Behind The News’ explainer addresses the wider issue rather than documenting CKN’s practices.
