Aurora Culpo described a cooperative co-parenting arrangement in a May 2025 podcast interview: she said her ex lived about a mile away, they shared custody equally, and they continued to spend holidays together. She also explained why “single mom” can be an imperfect label when a children’s father remains present and involved.
What Aurora Culpo said about co-parenting
In a May 5, 2025 episode of Casual Chaos, Culpo said she and her ex got along well and co-parented better than they had while married. She described him as nearby—about a mile away—and said they had a fifty-fifty custody arrangement at the time of the interview. The iHeart episode page includes an automatically generated transcript and cautions that it may not be completely accurate.
A nearby, shared-custody arrangement
As Culpo described it, the distance between homes made it possible for the children’s father to be available when needed. She said he was present and someone she could call on for the kids. These are her statements about the arrangement in May 2025, not confirmation of the family’s current custody schedule.
Holidays together
Culpo said they continued to handle holidays together and got along well. At that interview, she said they had not yet had to navigate holidays with additional partners. That detail reflects the circumstances she described then; it does not establish what has happened since.

Why the “single mom” label needs context
Culpo has spoken about single-mom life, but her account also makes clear that she was not describing parenting without an involved co-parent. She said the children’s father remained present and available, and recounted that he pushed back when she used the phrase “single mom” because he was still involved. The phrase can describe her experience of being a mother after a split, but it should not be taken to mean that she said she was raising the children alone.
What is known about the PEOPLE exclusive
A PEOPLE exclusive titled “Aurora Culpo Tells PEOPLE Exclusively That She’s Taking Single Mom Life ‘One Day at a Time’” appears in Yahoo search results. The page itself was not accessible, so its exact publication date and full contents cannot be verified here. The May 2025 podcast is a separate interview and should not be confused with that exclusive.

That timeline detail is therefore not independently confirmed by the accessible source used for Culpo’s 2025 co-parenting remarks.

How to read the interview details
- The approximate one-mile distance and equal custody arrangement are Culpo’s descriptions from May 2025, not independently verified measurements or legal records.
- The podcast transcript is automated and its publisher warns that it may contain errors. For that reason, this article paraphrases Culpo rather than presenting a transcript line as a verified verbatim quote.
- A separate SheMD interview discusses Culpo’s life and experiences, but it is not the PEOPLE exclusive and does not replace the specific co-parenting remarks in the iHeart episode. Read the SheMD interview.
