Al regresar, contó que la operación respondió a molestias cotidianas y que su recuperación incluyó un desmayo y una complicación en la herida.
Cuándo regresó Raúl de Molina al programa
De Molina reapareció en el set el 14 de julio de 2025. «Llevo unas seis semanas afuera después de que me operé de la barriga», dijo, según People en Español. Al reencontrarse con sus compañeros, expresó que estaba feliz de estar «nuevamente en casa». Lili Estefan comentó cuánto se había prolongado su ausencia.
El presentador también dijo que ya no aguantaba más en casa. Su regreso se produjo tras una recuperación más difícil de lo previsto, que describió en el programa.
Por qué se sometió a la operación
De Molina explicó que no buscaba adelgazar con la intervención. «Yo me hice esto no porque quiero ser flaco, porque no voy a ser flaco», dijo en una transcripción publicada por Univision. Contó que el exceso de piel y grasa en el abdomen le molestaba al caminar y al ir al baño, especialmente después de haber perdido peso en años anteriores.

Esa cifra y la de más de 110 libras perdidas en años anteriores proceden de declaraciones personales recogidas por People en Español y Univision; no son mediciones clínicas independientes. Univision señala que su transcripción fue generada mediante inteligencia artificial y que, si hay discrepancias, prevalece el audio.
Qué complicaciones contó durante la recuperación
En el relato que recogió Univision, De Molina habló de dolor en el pie izquierdo, de tomar un antiinflamatorio y de un hematoma que empeoró. También contó que se desmayó en casa. Su hija Mía lo encontró y lo llevó al hospital; allí, según la cobertura de Univision, tuvieron que abrir de nuevo la herida. People en Español informó que acudió al hospital Mercy de Miami y que la complicación lo puso en riesgo.

La información publicada en 2026 amplió retrospectivamente el relato, pero no forma parte de la escena de su regreso al programa. En febrero, ¡HOLA! informó que De Molina habló de una segunda operación diez días después de la primera y de un episodio de depresión durante la recuperación. En mayo de 2026, Univision publicó una conversación en la que el presentador reflexionó sobre el impacto de la cirugía y dijo que el mes siguiente se cumpliría un año de la operación.
