Simon Kinberg has ideas for a possible fourth season of Invasion, including a story about life after the alien conflict. But his comments were creative hopes, not a renewal announcement: a November 17, 2025 interview said Apple TV+ had not greenlit Season 4 at that time. No Season 4 release date is established by the available official information.
What Simon Kinberg said about a possible Season 4
In an interview with Space.com published November 17, 2025, Invasion co-creator and executive producer Simon Kinberg described a potential next chapter as “the calm after the storm.” He said, “It’s interesting to explore what a post-war world looks like.”
Kinberg also cautioned that a full season could not consist only of aftermath; the story would need a new event to drive it. He said the team had ideas, but the interview reported that Apple had not greenlit Season 4. Those remarks describe a possible creative direction, not a confirmed plot or production plan.
How Season 3’s ending could set up that story
The Season 3 finale leaves the characters in a changed but unresolved situation. As the interview recounts it, the alien mothership and its hivemind infrastructure are destroyed, while Mitsuki is taken through a portal. Kinberg said the ending does not mean the war is over or that every alien has died; instead, the conflict is fairer for humanity. Characters including Jamila, Aneesha and Nikhil could return home, while Mitsuki’s fate remains uncertain.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That ending gives context to Kinberg’s interest in a post-war world, but it does not confirm that Season 4 would follow those characters or take that precise direction. The interview reported that Season 3 ended on October 24, 2025.
Has Invasion been renewed for Season 4?
The available direct status report is time-stamped: Space.com said on November 17, 2025 that Apple had not greenlit a fourth season. Apple’s official Invasion page lists Season 3 and does not give a Season 4 release date. That page is not proof that no later announcement has been made, so the November report should not be treated as a current confirmation of cancellation or of the show’s status beyond its publication date.

What Kinberg said about the audience
Kinberg said he was “overwhelmed and extraordinarily happy” that fans had stuck with the series, and that it had found a new audience. He suggested that viewers could binge earlier seasons and reach the more prominent alien material in Seasons 2 and 3 more quickly. These are his impressions, not independently measured audience figures.
