Yes. Apple canceled Mythic Quest after four seasons. Its season-four finale was updated with Apple’s blessing to give the series a goodbye, and the story’s fictional-game universe continued with the anthology series Side Quest.
Was Mythic Quest canceled?
Yes. Apple ended the comedy after four seasons, according to MacRumors’ April 14, 2025 report. The show follows the workplace behind a fictional multiplayer video game; Apple describes it as a comedy released in 2020 on its series listing.
Why was Mythic Quest canceled?
Apple’s business reason for canceling the show has not been established in the cited reporting. The producers’ public statement explains how they approached the ending, not why Apple made its decision. MacRumors reported that the fourth season had not originally been intended to be the final season.
Did Mythic Quest get a new ending?
Yes. After the cancellation, producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney said they made one final update to the last episode, with Apple’s approval, so the series could say goodbye. The change was to the finale; the available reporting does not describe it as a newly produced episode.

Apple’s season-four schedule began January 29, 2025, with two episodes, followed by weekly releases through March 26. Apple identifies “Heaven and Hell” as the season-four finale. An Apple regional listing also shows April 18, 2025, for that episode; that is a revised listing date, not evidence of a separate new episode. The schedule and spin-off announcement appear in Apple TV Press’s November 14, 2024 announcement, and the finale listing is on Apple’s episode page.
Will there be a Mythic Quest season 5?
No fifth season is announced; Apple’s cancellation after season four means the series concluded with its fourth season. The sources do not establish whether a fifth season was formally pitched or rejected, so it would be speculation to describe a specific proposal or negotiation.
