Giannetos called it a “bell bottom haircut.” The article presents the look as an evolution and grow-out of the previous fall’s major cut—not another major chop. No measured amount for the 2026 trim is stated. Vogue’s report on the later shape quotes Giannetos saying, “The bell bottom cut is perfect for people with a V-shaped face.” That is his styling opinion, not a universal rule about which face shapes can wear the cut.

Was Amal Clooney’s 2017 bob a real haircut?
No. A short-looking bob she wore at the Venice Film Festival in 2017 was created with styling and pinning rather than a real chop, according to Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2017 report. It is a useful distinction when comparing photographs: a temporary faux bob is not evidence that she cut her hair to that length.
What to call the haircut
The clearest description is a six-to-eight-inch cut from very long hair in October 2025, followed by a later trim and face-framing bell-bottom styling in June 2026. Calling the 2025 change her “shortest chop in years” repeats a headline comparison that the cited reporting does not independently establish.
