Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a splashy musical water ride inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. It follows Tiana, Mama Odie and Louis on a Mardi Gras-season search for the musicians who will play at Tiana’s party, building through bayou twists and turns to a 50-foot drop. Disney warns that riders may get wet.
The story: a Mardi Gras search through the bayou
The ride continues Tiana’s story after the film. During Mardi Gras season, she and her musically inclined alligator friend Louis travel through the bayou looking for the band needed for her party. Mama Odie joins the adventure. Disney describes the Disneyland attraction as a “thrilling water ride through the bayou with Princess Tiana, Mama Odie and gator pal Louis.” Disneyland Resort’s attraction page and its official fact sheet identify the film as the inspiration.
How the ride feels
Expect a moving water ride with twists, turns, splashing and multiple drops—not a gentle boat tour. The Disneyland attraction page identifies a 15-metre (50-foot) drop and cautions, “Watch out… you may get wet!” The Disneyland page also offers Lightning Lane access information, while Disneyland’s sensory guide describes splashing water, several drops and stops, and an artificial beignet scent.
That sensory guide lists an experience time of nine minutes, but that figure and the specific sensory details are for Disneyland Park. They should not be assumed to describe the Walt Disney World version. The ride’s drops, stops and water make it a better fit for guests comfortable with dynamic motion and possible splashes.

Queue access: check current resort information
Queue arrangements can change. Disney’s 2024 Walt Disney World opening guide described virtual-queue requests at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. through My Disney Experience and Lightning Lane access through Genie+; those were launch-period instructions, not reliable directions for a current visit. Disneyland’s current attraction page names Multi Pass and Premier Pass as Lightning Lane options, subject to availability. Check the relevant resort app or official attraction page for the access choices available on your date rather than relying on old queue advice.
