O Terra afirmou que Andressa manteve discrição sobre os assuntos do marido, e o resultado indexado do POPline também indicou que Gusttavo não foi citado no desabafo.
A proximidade entre o Story e as notícias sobre o cantor explica o enquadramento das manchetes, mas, por si só, não demonstra que a publicação fosse uma resposta à polêmica. O O Dia mencionou separadamente um apoio público anterior de Andressa a Gusttavo e a revogação da prisão preventiva noticiada naquele período; isso não foi apresentado como explicação para o Story sobre maternidade.
