Its themes are clear; the available evidence does not establish whether the drama develops them with enough force to make the film fully persuasive.
A parable with a child’s point of view
Directed by Shiladitya Bora, this 2023 Hindi feature follows children whose understanding of faith shifts as they encounter a world larger and more complicated than their own. Apple TV describes an eight-year-old’s journey through faith, self-discovery and redemption, and says the film explores tolerance, education and innocence. Letterboxd’s synopsis likewise frames the story around two impressionable children and a changing socio-political landscape.
That child-centred approach gives the film’s subject a potentially useful scale. Rather than treating faith and religious conflict as abstractions, the premise brings them into the process by which children make sense of what adults and society present to them. The risk is that a parable can announce its concerns more clearly than it dramatizes them. The synopsis and credits establish the ambition, but not enough scene-level detail to support a firm claim about how successfully the film turns that ambition into sustained emotional drama.
Does the story make its themes land?
The central question is not whether tolerance, education and innocence matter; it is whether the children’s changing understanding gives those ideas a compelling dramatic shape. The premise offers a promising route: let the audience follow what the boys believe, what unsettles those beliefs, and how their view of the world changes. But a synopsis cannot show whether those changes feel earned, whether the film stays focused, or whether its emotional moments carry more weight than its message.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That distinction matters to the verdict. Ab Toh Sab Bhagwan Bharose is well-meaning in the sense that its stated concerns are humane and its child-centred framing aims to make them personal. On the evidence available here, it would be overconfident to call its execution either a success or a failure in specific terms. The premise invites engagement; the extent to which the finished film makes that invitation dramatically persuasive remains the decisive question.
What the reception figures say—and do not say
Apple TV’s US listing displayed a 70% Tomatometer average of 6.6 from 10 reviews—7 fresh and 3 rotten—when checked on 7 October 2026. That is a small platform-displayed critical aggregate, not an audience poll or a substitute for judging the film’s storytelling. Letterboxd’s visible user comments are also mixed: some praise the young actors and the sensitivity of the writing, while others criticize the execution, writing or pacing. Those comments represent individual reactions, not a representative consensus.
