AC/DC opened its 2025 Australian POWER UP tour at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 12 November with “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” and played 21 songs. The set’s biggest surprise was “Jailbreak,” which contemporaneous reports described as the band’s first live performance of the song since 1991. “T.N.T.” and “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” closed the night as the encore.
AC/DC Melbourne set list: 12 November 2025
The sequence below is the set reported for the MCG opening night. The Music’s report labels the final two songs as the encore, and PerthNow reports the same order. It is not a confirmed set list for every later Australian date.
- “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)”
- “Back in Black”
- “Demon Fire”
- “Shot Down in Flames”
- “Thunderstruck”
- “Have a Drink on Me”
- “Hells Bells”
- “Shot in the Dark”
- “Stiff Upper Lip”
- “Highway to Hell”
- “Shoot to Thrill”
- “Sin City”
- “Jailbreak”
- “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
- “High Voltage”
- “Riff Raff”
- “You Shook Me All Night Long”
- “Whole Lotta Rosie”
- “Let There Be Rock”
- “T.N.T.” (encore)
- “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” (encore)
The Music’s full set-list report and PerthNow’s opening-night report both give this order.
Why “Jailbreak” was the night’s standout
“Jailbreak” appeared 13 songs into the set, followed by “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “High Voltage.” PerthNow and The Music each described the performance as the song’s first live outing since 1991; that milestone is attributed to those reports. The opening number and much of the first half followed the established POWER UP show pattern, according to the same coverage.

What the reports say about the Melbourne show
- The Music counted 21 songs and described the audience as “80,000-strong.” That is the outlet’s reported crowd figure, not a venue-certified attendance total.
- PerthNow reported that 374 bagpipers played “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll)” at Federation Square before the concert. The outlet also said the previous record was 333 in Sofia, Bulgaria, in May 2012; these are PerthNow’s figures, not independently confirmed record-keeper totals.
Australian tour context
AC/DC’s official announcement dated 22 June 2025 named Amyl and The Sniffers as special guests and listed the initially announced stadium dates as Melbourne (12 November), Sydney (21 November), Adelaide (30 November), Perth (4 December) and Brisbane (14 December). ABC News also reported those city-date pairings and described the tour as AC/DC’s first Australian tour since 2015. The Music later reported a second MCG show on 16 November, so the original five-date announcement was not the complete later schedule.
The tour took its name from AC/DC’s 2020 album POWER UP. In its announcement, the band said the album debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA chart in Australia and 20 other countries; that chart statement is the band’s own announcement.
