Wednesday is returning for Season 3, and production has wrapped. Netflix has not announced a premiere date or a detailed plot synopsis; the confirmed creative hints point to deeper character stories, a wider Nevermore world and more Addams family secrets.
Is Wednesday renewed for Season 3?
Yes. Netflix announced the renewal before Season 2 debuted. Netflix Tudum reported on Sept. 30, 2026, that Season 3 production had wrapped. Netflix Tudum’s Season 3 update is the latest official announcement cited here.

When will Season 3 be released?
Netflix has not announced a release date. Its Sept. 30, 2026 update offered no premiere timing, so there is no confirmed release window to report. A date inferred from production timing would be speculation.
What can viewers expect from Season 3?
The creators have described the direction in broad terms rather than sharing a detailed synopsis. Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said the season will continue “digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar added that viewers will see more Addams family members and learn more family secrets. Netflix has not published a fuller plot outline.
#1 Best Overall
A behind-the-scenes image from Paris hints that Wednesday could visit the city, but Netflix has not confirmed Paris as a story setting. The confirmed production location is the Dublin area, where production returned for the wrap; filming location alone does not establish where the story takes place.
