When and how did Alexa Bliss return?
Bliss made her surprise return in the Women’s Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, entering at No. 21. WWE described the moment as a “shocking return” and highlighted her immediate exchange with Bayley in its official event recap.
What happened after Bliss entered?
Bliss was eliminated by Liv Morgan, and WWE’s official match statistics record her time in the match as 11:01. Her return was a surprise appearance, not a victory: Charlotte Flair won the Rumble by last eliminating Roxanne Perez. WWE’s recap identifies this as Flair’s second Women’s Royal Rumble win.
What did Bliss say about the short-notice return?
In an account from her July 2025 appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, reported by Fightful, Bliss said the return was not settled until the early morning: “I got the call at midnight the night before. It wasn’t fully decided until 4 AM.” She recalled being told to catch a plane by 10 a.m., flying to Cincinnati, then traveling by car to Indianapolis. She said she arrived at the venue at 4 p.m., ahead of a 6 p.m. first match. These are Bliss’s recollections as reported by Fightful, not an independently verified production timeline. Fightful’s report covers her account.

The surprise Rumble entry marked her return to the ring in a high-profile match, though she did not win it.
WWE also reported event-wide figures for the 2025 Royal Rumble: attendance of 70,347 at Lucas Oil Stadium, nearly 14% domestic year-over-year viewership growth for the event distributed on Peacock in the United States, merchandise sales more than 95% above the previous Royal Rumble record in partnership with Fanatics, and sponsorship revenue up 94% versus the prior record. Those are WWE-reported event totals; they do not isolate the effect of Bliss’s individual return. WWE’s February 3, 2025 corporate release reports the figures.
