What is the new Digimon anime called?
The series is DIGIMON BEATBREAK. The Digimon Anime Portal announced its production during DIGIMON CON 2025 on March 20, 2025, describing it as a new series arriving about two years after Digimon Ghost Game. That is the official interval; “nearly three years” is not the wording in the announcement. Read the announcement from the Digimon Anime Portal.
When did DIGIMON BEATBREAK air?
The announcement said the series would begin in October 2025. Toei’s later materials specify a weekly Sunday premiere on October 5, 2025. The run ended with episode 49, “A Shining World” (光輝く世界), scheduled for September 27, 2026, according to Toei’s finale notice. Toei’s final-episode announcement.
What is the story about?
The official introduction builds the story around “e-pulse,” energy generated by human thoughts and emotions. AI support devices called Sapotama use it as a power source; Digimon are lifeforms that consume e-pulse and evolve.

Tomoro Tenma’s life changes when Gekkomon emerges from his Sapotama. Tomoro then lives with Glowing Dawn, a team whose work is bounty hunting. The initial announcement used the concise hook of “lifeforms that feed on emotions”; the fuller premise comes from the series introduction rather than that early teaser.
