What is Space-Time Smackdown?
Space-Time Smackdown is a digital card expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket. The Pokémon Company International describes Dialga ex and Palkia ex as “dimension-altering Pokémon ex,” framing the set around a clash between time and space. Its official preview says the expansion includes “over 140 cards including exciting Pokémon ex cards, new Trainer cards, and gorgeous immersive cards.” (The Pokémon Company International, January 23, 2025.)
The set is also a showcase for the Sinnoh region. The official trailer description highlights Sinnoh Pokémon and identifies Dialga and Palkia as the featured Legendary Pokémon.
When did it release?
Space-Time Smackdown became available in Pokémon TCG Pocket on January 30, 2025, according to The Pokémon Company International’s announcement and the game’s official pack catalogue. It is the game’s second main expansion.

How many cards are in the set?
The Pokémon Company International’s publisher-level description is “more than 140 cards.” That figure covers the expansion as advertised, including Pokémon ex, Trainer cards, and immersive cards.
Collectors may see a larger figure in checklist databases: Pokémon Zone lists 207 entries for A2. Treat that as a broader checklist total, not as a replacement for the publisher’s headline count; database entries can include alternate rarities and variants. How do you get Space-Time Smackdown cards?
- Open Pokémon TCG Pocket.
- Go to the in-app pack interface and select Space-Time Smackdown.
- Open its digital booster packs and collect cards through the game.
The official Pokémon TCG Pocket pack catalogue lists Space-Time Smackdown as an in-game pack. Physical Pokémon TCG booster boxes and packs are products for the separate tabletop game; they do not contain this Pocket expansion.
