FantomWorks ended as a television series, but Dan Short said the restoration shop would continue. The official FantomWorks roster lists Short as owner/restoration project manager, Audrey Sickles as program manager, and Melissa Short in human resources and special projects. For other familiar crew members, the available credits confirm their roles on the show—not where they work today.
When did FantomWorks end?
The original FantomWorks ran from 2013 through 2019, according to IMDb’s series listing. In a post dated December 21, 2018, Dan Short said filming would finish in the first days of 2019. He also wrote that the shop would continue building cars even though the television show was concluding. Short’s statement about the show’s end makes an important distinction: the end of filming was not announced as the end of the restoration business.
Where are Dan Short, Audrey Sickles, and Melissa Short now?
The official FantomWorks team page currently describes these three members of the business:
- Dan Short: Listed as owner and restoration project manager. The page says he manages overall shop operations.
- Audrey Sickles: Listed as program manager and described as second in command in the shop’s everyday workings.
- Melissa Short: Described as handling human resources and special projects, following behind-the-scenes work with the company’s books and administration.
These are the company’s own current role descriptions; they are the clearest available update on the central figures from the series.

What happened to the other FantomWorks cast members?
The original series featured a larger shop team, including Allan Alvarez, Rob Dietzel, Spencer Bradnan, Walter Maddox, Dino Tempesti, Dale Bagwell, Josh Phillips, and Hank Dollear. IMDb’s credits identify their on-screen roles, such as paint supervisor, project manager, finisher, metal worker, mechanic, electrician, and tow operator or car hauler.
Those credits document who appeared on the show and what they did there; they do not establish their present jobs or whereabouts. The official roster does not provide current biographies for every former on-screen team member, so their present-day status cannot be confirmed from these sources.

Did FantomWorks continue after the original show?
There was a later project, FantomWorks: Off-Grid. The official FantomWorks TV page says the team filmed it with CMAX Media and describes YouTube webisodes and CMAX PPV as viewing routes. Those references do not confirm that either route remains available in 2026.
IMDb’s Off-Grid credits list Dan Short and Audrey Sickles, with episodes dated 2022–2023. That establishes their participation in the later project, but it does not indicate a current release schedule.
Can you still watch FantomWorks?
The original show aired on Velocity/MotorTrend, according to the official TV page. Its historical references to later viewing options are not proof of present availability, which can change by platform and location. Check current listings in your region before relying on an older platform reference.
