Chainsaw Man’s anime continuation is already confirmed—not merely something that may be announced soon. The official title is Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc, announced as a sequel to Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. The announcement gives no release date or window, so it does not support claims that a premiere is imminent.
Is Chainsaw Man season 2 confirmed?
The continuation is confirmed, but the official announcement does not call it “Season 2.” On December 21, 2025, the official Chainsaw Man anime site announced production of Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc and described it as a sequel to Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. Fans may use “season 2” as shorthand for the next installment, but the announcement identifies the project by its arc title and does not specify that it is a second television season.
When is Chainsaw Man season 2 coming out?
No premiere date or release window was included in the official announcement. It also did not name a streaming distributor. MAPPA’s English news archive includes 2026 announcements, but the reviewed items do not provide a dated premiere announcement for Assassins Arc. Accordingly, there is no supported date to report, and “sooner than you think” should not be read as a release-timing claim.
What is Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc?
It is the announced next anime project in the series, positioned by the official site as a sequel to the Reze Arc film. The title points to the arc the project adapts, but the announcement does not detail its format, episode count, or story coverage. It also does not identify a manga starting volume or chapter range, so those details should not be inferred from the title alone.

Does the 2026 MAPPA lineup event reveal a release date?
No. MAPPA’s June 5, 2026 notice scheduled a 15th-anniversary lineup reveal for June 19; that event notice itself did not give a release date for Assassins Arc. An event announcement is not evidence of a premiere window.
How can you catch up while waiting?
Choose the format that suits you: watch the anime and film where they are available in your region, or read the manga for the original story. The official anime site’s comics catalog lists manga volumes, but it does not establish a specific volume as the adaptation’s starting point. Streaming availability can vary by region, and the official sequel announcement names no distributor for Assassins Arc.
