Finding LGBTQ+ films to stream is easy; finding out whether a particular film is included with a subscription in your country today is less so. Streaming catalogs change, and a recommendation page is not proof of current availability. Use the discovery guides and catalog indexes below to choose films, then check the title’s exact viewing option in your territory before pressing play.
Why a “stream right now” list needs a country and a date
A film can be available in one country but not another, and “available to watch” may mean subscription-included streaming, rental, or purchase. Those are different options and costs. Netflix and Hulu’s LGBTQ+ guides are useful places to discover titles, while Rotten Tomatoes’ at-home index and service-filtered pages can help locate listings. None, by itself, establishes that every film in a 75-title list is currently available in every market.

For a useful recommendation, check the film’s listing in your own country and note the date and access type. Recheck close to publication or viewing: catalog pages are dynamic, and a title appearing in an editorial guide does not guarantee it remains on a service.
Where to discover LGBTQ+ films
- Netflix: Netflix Tudum’s guide, dated June 4, 2026, features 23 LGBTQIA+ film picks across genres and experiences. Treat it as a discovery guide, not a live availability guarantee.
- Hulu: Hulu’s guide, dated June 1, 2026, covers LGBTQ+ movies and shows on Hulu. Confirm the individual title’s current listing and whether it is included with your plan.
- Rotten Tomatoes: Its at-home index and service-filtered pages can surface films by viewing service. Check the territory and whether the result is subscription viewing, rental, or purchase.
How to choose beyond a single LGBTQ+ genre
LGBTQ+ cinema is not one genre or one kind of story. A thoughtful watchlist mixes romance, comedy, drama, documentary and other forms, and makes room for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, nonbinary and queer perspectives where the films support those descriptions. It can also span eras, languages, regions and tones. Look for what makes each film distinct—the characters, setting, form, or role of LGBTQ+ experience in the story—rather than treating identity as a substitute for a premise.

- Let the games begin! Own the genre-defining Saw horror series in all its grisly glory. Five-disc set includes: Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007), Saw V (2008), Saw VI (2009), Saw: The Final Chapter (2010) and Saw 3D: The Final Chapter (2010).
- Genre: Horror
Netflix’s guide itself spans romance, comedy, documentary and international examples, illustrating why genre and form are useful ways to browse. A 75-film selection should offer different entry points, not imply that one film represents an entire community.

GLAAD’s 2025 Studio Responsibility Index reported that 23.6% of films it tracked for 2024 included LGBTQ characters. Its 2026 report separately found that 9 of Netflix’s 36 films released in 2025 were LGBTQ-inclusive, or 25%. The figures describe different scopes and release years: the Netflix-specific result is not directly comparable with the broader 2024 tracked-film figure.

These counts offer context about the slates GLAAD studied; they do not rate any individual film’s quality or capture the full range of audience experience. A film’s merit is not determined by whether it raises or lowers an industry percentage.
