Liam Hemsworth’s strongest Geralt moments in The Witcher Season 4 range from monster fights to choices that test the witcher’s sense of duty. This is a subjective ranking, not an official Netflix list; it weighs Hemsworth’s performance, the scene’s impact, its place in Geralt’s journey, and how it uses the people around him. Netflix released the season on October 30, 2025, with Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt.
How the ranking works
The seven entries below are ranked by a combination of performance, action or emotional impact, significance to Geralt’s journey, and the scene’s use of his companions or wider story. The placement is editorial opinion, not an endorsement by Netflix or the cast. Episode numbers and titles are included where the official episode guide identifies them.

7. The dragon hunt — Episode 6, “Rare Species”
The episode guide sets up a mysterious man trying to recruit Geralt for a hunt involving a rampaging dragon. The premise earns this spot because it puts the witcher in a familiar professional role while the season’s larger search for Ciri continues around him. The official synopsis establishes the recruitment and hunt, but not a particular action beat to single out.
6. Geralt reconsiders the Law of Surprise — Episode 7, “Before a Fall”
Geralt’s reconsideration of his obligation to the Law of Surprise gives the season a character-focused counterpoint to its monster encounters. It matters because his relationship to that duty is bound up with his connection to Ciri. The episode summary confirms the reconsideration; the ranking rests on the significance of that choice rather than any unverified dialogue or staging.

5. The hansa on the road
Geralt’s effort to save Ciri is no longer a solitary journey: Netflix describes him pressing on with a fellowship called the hansa, gathered along the way. The traveling scenes are compelling for the way they place Hemsworth’s reserved Geralt among people who have their own needs and loyalties. Their value is in the shift from lone-wolf momentum to an uneasy shared mission.
4. The pack of foes lays Geralt low — Episode 8, “Much More”
The season finale’s official synopsis describes a terrifying pack of foes laying Geralt low. That reversal makes the moment a high-stakes entry: it puts the central hero in a vulnerable position at the point when the season’s dangers converge. The synopsis does not establish the exact choreography or outcome, so the scene is best appreciated for the threat it represents rather than embellished with details the episode guide does not provide.
Rank #2
3. The wraith fight
This is the clearest showcase of Geralt adapting when brute force fails. In the sequence described by Netflix Tudum, his sword proves ineffective against a wraith, so he uses Aard to blast it back, then Yrden to trap it before destroying its glowing core. The progression gives the fight a readable tactical shape: recognize the problem, change tools, and finish the job.
2. The battle after Regis’s elixir — Episode 4
Before a brutal battle, Regis gives Geralt a vampiric elixir. Hemsworth recalled filming a sequence in which Geralt cuts through a group of opponents, then adds a headbutt and a throw. He remembered the group as “twelve or fifteen,” an approximate recollection rather than a verified count. The scene ranks near the top for turning a power boost into physical, close-quarters action while showing Hemsworth’s commitment to the role’s demanding fight work.

Rank #3
1. The kikimora fight
The kikimora fight is the strongest introduction to Hemsworth’s Geralt. Netflix Tudum identifies it as the first sequence he filmed, and its behind-the-scenes feature discusses his preparation and sword work. As an opening choice for this ranking, it brings together the character’s physical precision and the practical, dangerous world he inhabits. Hemsworth described wearing the costume as one of the “pinch-yourself moments” of taking on a character he had once played in a video game.

Across the season, the most memorable Geralt moments are not only tests of strength. The fights show him changing tactics under pressure; the Law of Surprise and the hansa put duty and dependence at the center of his journey. Netflix frames the season around a separated Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, with Geralt traveling alongside the hansa as he tries to save Ciri. That context gives the action its stakes.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said Hemsworth was honest about what resonated with him in earlier seasons and what he wanted to shift. That perspective is useful context for the performance, but it does not make this ranking an official judgment. These are the seven moments that, taken together, best capture Hemsworth’s version of Geralt in the season.
