H2S Media’s May 30, 2025 article names six Netflix K-dramas it describes as having no second season: When Life Gives You Tangerines, When the Stars Gossip, The Potato Lab, When the Phone Rings, Lovely Runner and Queen of Tears. The key distinction is that Netflix’s official page labels only When Life Gives You Tangerines a “Limited Series”; the evidence available here does not establish an official renewal or cancellation announcement for the other five.
Which six dramas does the 2025 article name?
The list below reflects the titles in H2S Media’s article, not a verified ranking by viewership or popularity. The article’s framing should not be read as proof that Netflix formally cancelled every show on it.
| Drama | What the article says | Season-status evidence established here |
|---|---|---|
| When Life Gives You Tangerines | Describes it as a limited series with no second season planned. | Netflix’s title page labels it a “2025” “Limited Series.” This supports its one-season framing, but is not the same as a cancellation announcement. |
| When the Stars Gossip | Calls it a one-season show. | No title-specific official renewal or cancellation confirmation is established here. |
| The Potato Lab | Says it will not return. | No title-specific official renewal or cancellation confirmation is established here. |
| When the Phone Rings | Calls it a limited series and says it will not continue. | No title-specific official renewal or cancellation confirmation is established here. |
| Lovely Runner | Describes it as a complete one-season story, while noting it was not a 2025 cancellation. | No title-specific official renewal or cancellation confirmation is established here. |
| Queen of Tears | Characterizes it as a complete story unlikely to return. | No title-specific official renewal or cancellation confirmation is established here. |
What does “no second season” mean in this list?
It can mean different things: a series is presented as a limited story, its story has reached an ending, or a publication expects that it will not continue. Those descriptions do not by themselves demonstrate that Netflix announced a cancellation. In particular, a “Limited Series” label is evidence about how a title is categorized, not a blanket explanation for the status of every drama in the list.
For When Life Gives You Tangerines, Netflix’s official title page identifies the 2025 series as a “Limited Series,” names IU, Park Bo-gum and Moon So-ri, and lists its episodes. Netflix Tudum describes it as a romance saga spanning several decades; that story description is context, not a season-status announcement. Tudum’s May 5, 2025 article.

When Life Gives You Tangerines
Netflix’s own catalog label is the clearest official status evidence among these six: it calls the title a “Limited Series.” That supports treating it as a one-season story, but the precise claim supported by the page is the label itself—not that Netflix cancelled a planned second season. Netflix Tudum later reported that the drama received four honors at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards and described its story as spanning decades; neither point establishes a renewal decision.
The other five titles
The available evidence identifies these titles as part of H2S Media’s list, but it does not provide equivalent official confirmation for their season status. Without a title-specific Netflix notice or a statement from the relevant production company or broadcaster, it would be inaccurate to call them Netflix-confirmed cancellations—or to present the absence of a second season as a formal decision announced by Netflix.

How to read “popular” in the headline
The source article does not set out a consistent popularity measure for these six titles, and the evidence here does not verify a comparative ranking. Treat “popular” as the article’s characterization rather than a claim that these are Netflix’s six most-watched or most popular K-dramas in 2025.
