The biblical docudrama Testament: The Story of Moses briefly overtook 3 Body Problem in Netflix’s interim chart in late March 2024. But Netflix’s official weekly global English-language TV lists still ranked 3 Body Problem No. 1 for the week of March 25–31 and again for April 1–7.
Which biblical series overtook 3 Body Problem?
It was Testament: The Story of Moses, a biblical docudrama series. Forbes reported on March 31, 2024, that it had pushed 3 Body Problem out of the top spot for several days in an interim chart. That report described a brief movement, not a lasting weekly reversal or a current Netflix ranking. Forbes’ March 31 report
What did Netflix’s weekly charts show?
Netflix’s weekly global English-language TV charts tell a different story from the brief interim movement: 3 Body Problem led both relevant weekly lists.
| Netflix chart week | 3 Body Problem | Testament: The Story of Moses |
|---|---|---|
| March 25–31, 2024 | No. 1 — 15.6 million views | No. 2 — 13.5 million views |
| April 1–7, 2024 | No. 1 — 8.3 million views | No. 2 — 5.7 million views |
Netflix published the first list on April 2, 2024, and the second on April 9. The figures are Netflix’s reported views for each title during the specified chart week; they do not establish total audience, completion rate, profitability, or an all-time ranking. Why do the interim report and weekly rankings differ?
They describe different chart snapshots. Forbes’ March 31 story reported a short-lived change in an interim ranking, while Netflix’s weekly report aggregated the March 25–31 chart week and still placed 3 Body Problem first. The next weekly list also kept it ahead of Testament. The rankings show where the titles placed in those chart periods; they do not explain why viewers chose either series.
What does “Netflix Top 10” mean here?
This comparison is specifically about Netflix’s global English-language TV list in March and April 2024, not every Netflix chart, every country, or the service’s current ranking. Netflix’s record for the preceding week, March 18–24, placed The Gentlemen first with 11.7 million views and 3 Body Problem second with 11 million. Netflix notes that chart and title availability can vary by country or territory. Netflix’s Top 10 chart archive and notes
