A. Corey’s novels. On January 15, 2025, T3 reported that the show had appeared in Prime Video’s “titles expiring in the next 30 days” section, and said it was believed it could become unavailable from early February. That was a reported expectation—not an official confirmation of a removal date. T3’s January 15, 2025 report did not establish whether the show is available on Prime Video now, in any particular country.
What did the Prime Video report say?
T3 news editor Rik Henderson reported on January 15, 2025, that The Expanse had been listed in Prime Video’s “titles expiring in the next 30 days” section. The article said the series was believed likely to leave the service from the beginning of February. It did not cite an official Amazon announcement confirming that date or that the entire series would be removed.

That distinction matters: the listing was evidence of an expected catalog change at the time, not proof of what ultimately happened. The report is historical, and it does not establish the show’s current streaming status.
Why was The Expanse reportedly leaving?
Amazon had not publicly explained the change in the T3 report. The article speculated that rights to the first three seasons—originally produced by Syfy—may have expired. It also raised the possibility that those seasons, rather than the complete series, could be affected. Neither explanation was confirmed by Amazon in the cited report.

Streaming rights can differ by season and territory, so a reported expiry does not by itself establish that every season would leave in every country. The available evidence supports no definitive conclusion about the reason or the scope of the reported change.
How many seasons and episodes were involved?
T3 described The Expanse as a six-season adaptation with 62 episodes. Its January 2025 article said Amazon produced the final three seasons after Syfy could not continue beyond season three. Those figures describe the series and the context of the report; they do not tell viewers how many episodes were accessible on Prime Video later.

Where can you watch The Expanse now?
The January 2025 report does not verify current availability on Prime Video or another service. Catalogs can vary by country and change over time, so check the Prime Video listing for your location before subscribing or planning a rewatch. Confirm that the listing includes the seasons you want and whether they are included with a subscription or require a separate purchase. No specific current service or season-by-season option is established by the cited report.
If you want to explore the story beyond the screen, the series is adapted from James S. A. Corey’s novels, beginning with Leviathan Wakes. The report does not establish a particular edition or retailer’s current stock.
