In February 2023, Allison Holker asked a Los Angeles court to confirm her rights to Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s share of their reported community property after he died without a will. The petition reportedly covered interests in his production company and royalties; a later report said a judge granted it, but the filing and the reported ruling are distinct stages.
What Holker requested in February 2023
The Los Angeles Times reported on February 9, 2023, that Holker—identified in the report by her legal name, Allison Boss—filed a spousal property petition in Los Angeles after Boss died without a will. She sought his half of the couple’s community property.
The newspaper identified his interest in Stephen Boss Productions and royalties from work connected with Disney and SAG-AFTRA among the property requested. Those descriptions concern what the petition sought; they do not establish that every listed asset was ultimately transferred or determine its value.
What was reported about the later ruling
On April 30, 2023, Entertainment Tonight reported that a judge granted Holker’s petition. ET said court documents described her as the surviving spouse, recognized property-passing rights, and stated that estate administration was unnecessary. Its report listed production-company shares, an investment account, and specified royalty or earnings interests.

The original petition and order are not available here for direct review, so the asset descriptions and terms of the reported outcome should be attributed to the outlets. The report of a granted petition is not, by itself, evidence that the ruling distributed every asset associated with Boss.

California Probate Code section 856 says that, subject to the section’s exceptions, a court satisfied that a conveyance, transfer, or other order should be made shall direct a transfer to the person entitled to the property or grant other appropriate relief. The statute provides limited procedural context: it does not decide which of Boss’s assets were community property, their value, or the precise terms of the order in this case. See the official text of California Probate Code section 856.

In this matter, the reported sequence is the key distinction: Holker filed to establish rights to property she said belonged to the surviving spouse, and ET later reported that the judge granted the petition. The February filing was a request, not itself a court decision.
