The clearest public account of her work beyond her father’s fame is her long-running volunteer connection to Park School in Evanston, Illinois. Published sources do not establish her current occupation or residence.
Who is Katie Springer?
Katie is Jerry Springer’s daughter. Public coverage of her is limited, and much of what is known comes from her father’s interviews and reporting about his support for Park School, where Katie volunteered for many years.

In a 2009 Guardian interview, Jerry Springer named his daughter’s birth and wedding among the moments when he was happiest. Asked about his greatest achievement, he answered, “Being a father.” The Guardian’s interview provides that context in his own words.
What has Katie Springer done?
Volunteering at Park School
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Katie began volunteering at Park School in Evanston in 1997 and continued for more than two decades. Former teacher Brenda Hadden recalled Katie’s attachment to the school: “She just fell in love with the school.” Hadden also described a friendship with Katie that endured over the years. The Sun-Times account is the most detailed published reporting on this part of Katie’s life.

Her education and current work
The same Sun-Times report says Katie attended Barat College. It does not establish what job, if any, she currently holds. A current occupation should not be inferred from her volunteer history or from older biographical coverage.
How did Jerry Springer support Park School?
Jerry Springer’s connection to the school included financial support. According to the Sun-Times, he donated more than $200,000 in 2007 for a multisensory enrichment space at Park School. Hadden explained the personal link this way: “Because it was so important to Katie, it was so important to him.”

What has Katie said about her father?
In an Access Hollywood interview from 2006, Katie defended the difference between the television personality viewers saw and the father she knew. The outlet’s transcript records her saying: “He’s great, I mean I couldn’t ask for a better father. Anyone who judges him based on his strictly on his show, they shouldn’t. That’s not who he is.” The quotation is reproduced as Access published it, including its apparent transcription error. Access Hollywood’s retrospective video and transcript show her on camera with her father.
Katie has otherwise kept a low public profile. The Sun-Times reported that she declined an interview for its 2023 story, while supporting Hadden’s account of Jerry Springer’s philanthropy.

What is known about Katie’s family and private life?
A March 2022 WVXU report described Katie as living in Chicago with her husband and son at that time. That is a dated snapshot, not confirmation of where she lives or her family circumstances today. WVXU’s 2022 report should be read within that timeframe.
The Sun-Times describes Katie as having disabilities, but the available reporting cited here does not justify adding medical specifics. The details of her health are not needed to understand her volunteer history or her father’s support for the school.
