American Vandal, season two Chloe Lyman Apple TV lists her as Chloe Lyman in the second season.
The Pitt Dr. Melissa “Mel” King Apple TV identifies her as Mel, a doctor on the series, and lists a 2026 Primetime Emmy nomination for supporting actress in a drama series.

Parade also mentions Dearden’s work in short films, a web series and For All Mankind. The available profile does not provide further details about those credits, so they are best treated as additional career notes rather than a complete filmography.

What does Taylor Dearden play in The Pitt?

Dearden plays Dr. Melissa “Mel” King in The Pitt. Apple TV’s performer listing names the character and reports that Dearden received a 2026 Primetime Emmy nomination for supporting actress in a drama series. That is an award nomination, not a statement that she won.

Dearden has also spoken about how her own experience shaped her understanding of the role. Marie Claire reports that she has described having severe ADHD and feeling a personal connection to Mel. Those are Dearden’s reported statements about herself; they should not be taken as confirmation of a diagnosis for the fictional character.

Parade, recounting an April 2025 NPR interview, quotes Dearden describing the production as “a very tough show for neurodivergents to be in.” She said the fast dialogue and action could be challenging, and that she began wearing earplugs to soften outside noise before suggesting that Mel wear them too. This is her account of navigating the demands of the show, not a universal description of how neurodivergent people experience television work.
