In the 2025 documentary Call Her Alex, podcast host Alex Cooper alleged that her former Boston University women’s soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, sexually harassed her while she was a player. Cooper described sexualized comments, unwanted touching, repeated private meetings and retaliation affecting her playing time. These are Cooper’s allegations, not findings established by the reporting cited here.
What did Alex Cooper allege?
Cooper played women’s soccer at Boston University from 2013 to 2015. In Call Her Alex, she said Feldman made personal and sexual comments, sought private one-on-one meetings, touched her inappropriately and used playing time in retaliation. Boston.com’s June 12, 2025 report summarized the allegations made in the documentary.

In an interview with The Boston Globe, Cooper said Feldman commented on her body and touched her neck and thigh. She described being repeatedly called into closed-door meetings, trying to avoid the coach and feeling powerless because Feldman controlled important parts of her athletic career. These details are Cooper’s account as reported by the Globe, not independently established findings.
Why did Cooper become emotional returning to the field?
During the documentary’s filming, Cooper returned to the BU soccer field, where she said the experience brought back difficult emotions. In a June 2025 podcast discussion about the return, she told the Los Angeles Times: “The minute I stepped on that field, I felt so small.” The episode was titled “My College Soccer Trauma.” The Los Angeles Times reported on Cooper’s account of the visit.

What did Boston University and the coaches say?
BU issued a general statement describing its sexual-harassment policy, resources, support and reporting process. The statement was not a published finding about Cooper’s allegations against Feldman.
Cooper said assistant coach Casey Brown was present when she sought help. The Globe reported that Brown said she had no recollection of the incident Cooper described and denied that she would ignore someone asking for help. Brown’s response is distinct from Feldman’s: contemporaneous coverage said Feldman had not responded to requests for comment.

Did BU’s later external review address Cooper’s allegations?
On June 29, 2025, Boston.com reported that BU had announced a new external review of athletics policies, support and complaint follow-up. That announcement discussed reporting about allegations involving Casey Brown, Feldman’s successor; it did not mention Cooper’s allegations against Feldman. The reporting available here does not establish whether the review covered Cooper’s account or what its outcome was. Boston.com reported on the review announcement.

Have the allegations been legally or institutionally resolved?
ELLE reported in June 2025 that no charges had been filed as of its publication. That is a dated status report, not confirmation of the present legal status. The coverage cited here does not establish a later legal or institutional finding on Cooper’s allegations. ELLE’s June 2025 article discusses Cooper’s reasons for speaking and the documentary.
Where was Call Her Alex released?
Contemporaneous June 2025 coverage reported that the two-part documentary premiered at Tribeca and began streaming on Hulu that month. That establishes the reported release platform at the time, not current availability; where it can be watched now may depend on date and geography.
