What Alexa and Carlos PenaVega announced
The couple shared the pregnancy news on social media on November 17, 2023. Alexa’s caption, as quoted by Us Weekly, included: “Oh baby here we come! Número cuatro!” The Spanish phrase means “number four.” E! News also reported on the announcement and described photographs of the couple, including one in which Carlos held up four fingers.
What happened to their fourth child
On April 15, 2024, Alexa and Carlos announced that their daughter had been stillborn. CBS News, reporting on April 16, identified her as Indy Rex PenaVega and reproduced the couple’s joint statement: “After a beautiful and peaceful delivery our daughter ‘Indy’ was born at rest.” They also wrote, “There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss.”
The couple remembered Indy in the same statement: “She was absolutely beautiful. And looked just like daddy. Dark hair and all.” Their words describe their loss; the reports cited here do not establish a medical cause, and none should be inferred.

The family’s updates after the announcement
April 2024 coverage identified the couple’s other children as Ocean, Kingston, and Rio. Good Morning America and The Independent reported on the stillbirth and the family’s statement. Any ages given in those reports refer to that reporting period, not to the children’s ages today.
Alexa shared a further update on May 15, 2024; Good Morning America reported it the following day. That is the latest family update established by the sources cited here. It does not confirm the family’s circumstances in 2026.
