What did Alexis Bellino mean by “fight the feelings”?
Bellino’s phrase described her account of an unexpected romance developing out of a new friendship. In a confessional quoted by Bravo, she said: “We tried to fight the feelings. After week two, John and I knew. That was it. Unfortunately, your heart wants what it wants. And here we are. Take us or leave us.” In an interview reflection, she added, “I mean, we couldn’t really stop it.”
Those remarks are Bellino’s recollection of the early relationship, as reported by Bravo; they are not independent confirmation of private events. The article described Janssen as her boyfriend when it was published on July 9, 2024, but it does not establish their current relationship status.
How did Alexis Bellino and John Janssen meet?
Bellino said she met Janssen at The Quiet Woman on November 18. According to her account, friends had asked her to take them to the restaurant, while Janssen arrived with a group. An acquaintance introduced them, and the two groups joined together before spending the rest of the night dancing at a nearby bar.

Bellino said the encounter began as a friendship and “it just grew into more pretty fast.” Her “after week two” comment refers to how soon they felt they knew the connection was serious, rather than providing a complete chronology of their dating life.
How did the relationship affect her RHOC return?
Bellino told Bravo that she had already been speaking with RHOC production before meeting Janssen. She had expected to return as a single version of herself, but the relationship changed that expectation. The July 2024 report said her return was being developed before the meeting.
