Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero is a three-part limited series adapting Christie’s 1944 novel. Set in 1936, it brings a group of people with unsettled relationships together at a coastal estate before a murder draws detective James Leach into their secrets. Official pages list BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK and BritBox in the United States and Canada; check the relevant service for current availability.

What is Towards Zero about?

The series is set in England in 1936, at Gull’s Point, the seaside home of Lady Tressilian. After a scandalous divorce, Nevile Strange and his former wife, Audrey, both spend the summer there. Nevile’s new wife, Kay, and other guests join them, bringing competing loyalties and old tensions into the household. When a murder occurs, detective James Leach investigates.

The official synopsis sets up a classic country-house gathering with a coastal setting: the people around Lady Tressilian are connected by unresolved histories, and the murder turns those tensions into a mystery. That is the spoiler-light premise; the official summaries do not require revealing the solution.

Is the series based on a book?

Yes. The limited series adapts Agatha Christie’s novel Towards Zero, which Mammoth Screen dates to 1944. Readers interested in the source can look for the novel under that title; the official materials establish the book-to-series relationship but do not confirm a particular edition, seller, price, or stock.

Where can you watch Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero?

The official series page says the episodes arrived on BBC iPlayer on March 2, with BBC One broadcasts weekly from 9 p.m. that evening. It also says BritBox began airing the series on April 16 and describes BritBox International availability in the United States and Canada. These are the release and territory details stated on the official page, not a guarantee of what is currently in each catalog.

Because streaming catalogs can change, check the service for your country before subscribing or planning a watch.

  • Mimi Keene as Kay Elliott-Strange

What is established about its reception?

The official series, platform, and production pages cited here do not provide a standalone audience or performance statistic for Towards Zero. A viewer figure mentioned on the Agatha Christie Limited page concerns the earlier series Murder Is Easy, not this adaptation, so it should not be attributed to Towards Zero.
