There was no single confirmed reason Igor—also known as Justin on 90 Day Fiancé—ended things with Nikki. The immediate trigger Nikki described was a fight over his employment and her financial support. Igor’s reported breakup text focused on feeling he had sacrificed his interests and dignity, while the show’s tell-all revealed broader conflict over stability, attraction and Nikki’s trans identity.
What triggered the breakup?
In its February 25, 2024 recap, Entertainment Tonight reported that Nikki said she and Igor had a major argument because he did not have a job and she had been supporting him financially. They then went a week without speaking. According to the recap, Igor texted Nikki to end the relationship while she was filming, two weeks after she returned from Moldova.

That account identifies the argument as the immediate trigger, but does not establish that money or employment was the only reason the relationship ended.
What reason did Igor give?
ET reproduced a breakup text attributed to Igor in which he said he had “compromised and sacrificed my own interests,” affecting his “status and my dignity,” and that he needed to “take control of my life and rectify the situation.” This is the wording ET reported from the text, not independently authenticated documentation.

At the tell-all, Igor also said the couple had broken up repeatedly and that he wanted stability, according to ET’s March 10, 2024 recap. His stated concern was therefore broader than the job dispute: he described a relationship marked by repeated breakups and a lack of steadiness.
How did attraction and Nikki’s trans identity affect the relationship?
The show’s tell-all included arguments about Igor’s attraction to Nikki and comments about her gender presentation. ET reported that Igor said he was not attracted to trans women and that he would not attend the K-1 visa interview under the circumstances. Those exchanges make attraction and Nikki’s trans identity part of the relationship’s visible tensions; they do not prove either was the single cause of the breakup.
ET also reported that Nikki said they had first dated nearly two decades earlier. She told Igor she was transgender two years into that earlier relationship, and the couple later resumed their relationship and became engaged again. The show’s edited portrayal and recap cannot establish every private motive behind either breakup.

Did Nikki and Igor get back together?
They reconnected after the breakup. ET reported that Nikki later returned to Moldova for Igor’s birthday, where they slept together and he returned her engagement ring. Monsters and Critics reported that Nikki said they were giving the relationship another try. That temporary reunion does not show that the disagreements behind the breakup were resolved.

A 2026 Yahoo Entertainment update described the couple as split. That is the latest reported status cited here, rather than direct confirmation from Nikki or Igor of their private status at every later date.
