Raemond was a fan Brown met at a public event at Capriotti’s in Plantation, Florida. E! News reported that the two met there in September 2024 and that Brown proposed the following day. E! News’ report on the proposal described it as a surprise engagement after their brief courtship.

Coverage said the improvised ring was made from a paperclip. The unusual detail underscored how quickly the proposal happened; it does not indicate that the couple had been dating for a longer period.
Did Big Ed and Porscha stay together?
No. Brown called off the engagement within days. In a statement reported by E! News, he said: “I realized that I don’t want to get married. I want to be single.” He also characterized the proposal as impulsive. E! News’ breakup report covered the abrupt end of the engagement.
