The recommendations were reported for Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally, Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, and Apple TV+; streaming catalogs can change by country and date, so check your local service for current availability.
How to choose from this weekend’s seven picks
| Title | Reported service in the August 15, 2025 guide | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Alien: Earth | Hulu (US) / Disney+ (international) | Sci-fi horror |
| Fixed | Netflix | Adult animation |
| Butterfly | Prime Video | Spy thriller |
| Limitless: Live Better Now | Hulu (US) / Disney+ (international) | Health and endurance challenges |
| The Legend of Ochi | HBO Max | Family fantasy adventure |
| Night Always Comes | Netflix | Crime thriller |
| Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical | Apple TV+ | Family musical |
These are editorial recommendations and synopses, not a comparative review. The two animated choices have very different audiences: Fixed is an adult comedy, while Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is the family-oriented pick.
Sci-fi horror: Alien: Earth
Noah Hawley’s series is set two years before the 1979 film Alien. Sydney Chandler plays Wendy, a Hybrid—an android with a child’s consciousness—who faces Xenomorphs and other creatures. At the time of the August 15, 2025 guide, the first two episodes were available; it reported that later episodes would arrive on Tuesdays or Wednesdays depending on location. The guide listed Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally.
Adult animation: Fixed
Genndy Tartakovsky’s 2D animated comedy follows a bulldog who learns he is due to be neutered and heads out for one last night with his friends. The guide likens its humor to The Ren & Stimpy Show and describes the tone as raunchy. This is an adult-oriented comedy, not a children’s cartoon. The guide listed Netflix.
