In June 2025, six CNBC on-air anchors and reporters were pregnant at the same time, and several described finding practical and emotional support in colleagues who understood the demands of pregnancy on camera. Their accounts point to informal connection—not a formal workplace program—as the heart of that community.
Who was part of CNBC’s reported baby boom?
In a profile published June 25, 2025, PEOPLE reported that Kate Rooney, Deirdre Bosa, Angelica Peebles, Kelly Evans, Megan Cassella and Pippa Stevens were expecting children simultaneously. The story also mentioned two other reporters who were on maternity leave or just returning. These were the circumstances reported at publication; they do not establish anyone’s current pregnancy or leave status.
The profile was based on interviews with the women, not a workforce survey. Its six-person count describes this group at that moment; it should not be read as a statistic about CNBC employees generally or journalists as a profession. Hannah Sacks’s PEOPLE profile, syndicated by AOL, gives the individual accounts.
How did colleagues support one another?
Shared understanding of an on-air job
Kate Rooney, a CNBC technology reporter, said it mattered to know that colleagues were handling pregnancy while continuing to do demanding on-air work. “There’s something really powerful in knowing you’re not doing this alone,” she said.

A group chat for practical questions
CNBC health and pharmaceutical reporter Angelica Peebles described a Teams group chat used by CNBC mothers to exchange advice and support one another through parenting. “We, along with other moms at CNBC, have a Teams group chat where we share tips, ask questions and support each other throughout all the twists and turns of parenting.”
Megan Cassella, a CNBC Washington correspondent who was expecting her first child, said the conversations included baby gear, managing exhaustion during difficult schedules, and work trousers with stretchy waistbands. She also valued talking with colleagues who understood what it was like to be pregnant in an on-air role. The profile names no particular clothing or baby-gear brands and endorses no products.

Informal solidarity, not a formal system
Deirdre Bosa, CNBC’s tech check anchor, described the support as personal and informal: “There’s no formal system. Just a lot of mutual respect, unspoken understanding and the occasional reality check.” Her account distinguishes a helpful peer community from an official company-wide pregnancy-support policy; the profile does not document such a policy.
What pressures did the reporters describe?
Exhaustion alongside unpredictable news demands
Cassella said she learned she was pregnant shortly before the 2025 Inauguration Day. She described that period as a prompt to take breaks, set boundaries and notice when she needed to care for herself. That is her account of managing her circumstances, not medical advice.

The interviewees also discussed the strain of pregnancy exhaustion while working demanding, unpredictable news schedules. Rooney described breaking news colliding with family needs, including a child becoming ill, childcare falling through or a spouse traveling. These examples show the kinds of conflicts she encountered; they do not establish that every reporter or parent faces the same situation.
Prioritizing work and setting boundaries
Kelly Evans, a CNBC anchor, emphasized adapting and focusing on the work that mattered. “You just keep having to work smarter. You don’t have time for the small work dramas that don’t matter.” For Cassella, recognizing limits and taking breaks were part of navigating her own first pregnancy and on-air role. Together, their remarks describe personal strategies rather than a single formula for balancing work and family.

Why did the community matter?
The women’s accounts suggest that the value of the group was not only advice about clothes or baby gear. Colleagues could recognize the particular combination of pregnancy, live broadcasts and a schedule shaped by breaking news. Cassella put the broader feeling this way: “I’ve always heard people say that it takes a village — but I’m learning how true that is even before the baby comes.”
The June 2025 profile offers a snapshot of six colleagues building connection at work through conversation, mutual respect and shared experience. It does not claim that their informal network replaced formal workplace support or that their experience represents all pregnant workers.
