For anime about classmates isekai’d together, start with Loner Life in Another World or Arifureta: both begin with a class-wide summoning. The six picks below also include stories that bend the premise—through reincarnation or surreal school-wide displacement—rather than having every student arrive by the same ritual. They are presented in the order used by Befenn’s April 15, 2025 list, not as an objective ranking.
Which anime actually summons the whole class?
“The whole class is summoned” can describe several different setups. Some shows send classmates to another world together through a summoning event; others link students through reincarnation, or transport a school into strange dimensions. The distinction matters if you want a literal classroom-sized hero party rather than a broader story about students stranded beyond Earth.

| Anime | How the group reaches the other world | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest | The class is transported to a fantasy world. | Survival and a protagonist’s transformation after he is separated from his classmates. |
| My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered | A Sage transports the class; Yogiri and Tomochika are left behind as bait, according to Befenn’s summary. | Deadpan comedy built around an absurdly powerful ability. |
| So I’m a Spider, So What? | Class-linked reincarnation; the official introduction focuses on the protagonist’s reincarnation as a spider, not a group summon. | Dungeon survival using human knowledge, webs, and traps. |
| Sonny Boy | A middle-school class and its school building drift through unusual dimensions. | Surreal coming-of-age science fantasy, rather than a conventional magical summoning. |
| Loner Life in Another World | An entire high-school class is summoned as heroes. | A loner protagonist, leftover skills, and classmates who need help. |
| Summoned to Another World for a Second Time | Setsu returns to the same world after a previous journey, this time with classmates. | A returning hero whose past experience is unknown to his classmates. |
Six anime where classmates are isekai’d
1. Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest
Hajime and his class are transported to a fantasy world and given abilities. His crafting skill seems weak beside the powers of his peers, and a dungeon incident separates him from the group. The story then follows his struggle to survive and his evolution into a far more capable fighter. Choose this for a class-summoning premise that quickly becomes a survival story about one student cut off from everyone else. Wikipedia’s Arifureta reference provides additional series context.
2. My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered
Befenn’s list describes a Sage transporting a class to another world, then abandoning Yogiri and Tomochika as bait. That setup puts the pair at the edge of the group’s adventure, while the comedy comes from Yogiri’s extraordinarily effective ability and the contrast between it and his matter-of-fact attitude. This is the pick for readers who want the class-transport setup with an overpowered-comedy angle. The available premise summary does not establish further details about how the class remains involved.

3. So I’m a Spider, So What?
This is the least direct match for a literal whole-class summoning: it is class-linked reincarnation, while the official introduction centers on one student’s new life. The series website introduces her this way: “I, the protagonist, was just an ordinary high school girl, but suddenly I was reincarnated as a spider monster in a fantasy world.” She awakens in a dangerous dungeon and survives through resourcefulness, including webs, traps, and knowledge from her human life. If the appeal is students connected to another-world reincarnation rather than a classroom arriving together, this is the one to try. The official anime website has the series introduction.
4. Sonny Boy
In this series, the class and its school building drift through strange dimensions. That makes it a group-displacement story, not a standard ritual summoning or a straightforward fantasy-world transfer. Its surreal, coming-of-age science-fantasy approach is a strong change of pace if you want a whole school caught in an impossible situation rather than a conventional party of summoned heroes.
Rank #2
5. Loner Life in Another World
This is one of the clearest choices if you mean that an entire class gets transported and summoned as heroes. Haruka tries to avoid the selection ritual but winds up with the skills left over after his classmates choose theirs. His loner instincts collide with the fact that his classmates are struggling, drawing him into their affairs. The anime adapts a light-novel series; Seven Seas Entertainment is identified as its North American English publisher. Wikipedia’s series reference includes publication context.
6. Summoned to Another World for a Second Time
Setsu has already visited the other world before he is summoned there again with classmates. His prior experience sets him apart: his classmates do not know what he has done in that world before. Pick this if you like the idea of a class arriving alongside someone who is not starting from zero. Befenn’s summary foregrounds that contrast but does not establish further details about how the classmates’ story develops.

How to choose based on the class-summoning setup
- For a direct class summon: Loner Life in Another World makes the class-wide hero summoning central, while Arifureta uses it to launch a separated-protagonist survival story.
- For comedy: Try My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered for a deadpan take on an overwhelmingly powerful ability.
- For a student’s reincarnated survival: So I’m a Spider, So What? follows one protagonist rather than a group arriving together.
- For something surreal: Sonny Boy displaces a school into strange dimensions instead of following a familiar summoning ritual.
- For a returning hero among classmates: Summoned to Another World for a Second Time gives Setsu a prior history the others lack.
These are premise-based distinctions, not ratings. The class’s continuing role and the protagonist’s separation from it vary across the six.

Failure Frame is a related class-summoning story, but it is not one of the six recommendations above. It should not be confused with Arifureta, whose class is also transported and whose protagonist is separated after a dungeon incident. Wikipedia’s Failure Frame reference provides a separate series overview.
